DoIT Privacy Policy
DoIT is a local-first note-taking app. It is free, has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no accounts. This document explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your data.
What DoIT collects: nothing
DoIT does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no account system. The developer cannot see what you write, and no data about you ever reaches a server through this app.
Your notes never leave your device
All notes are stored locally on your own computer. Markdown notes are saved as real .md files in the folder you choose, so they remain yours even if you uninstall the app. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up to any cloud service by DoIT.
The only network activity
DoIT checks for updates automatically and there is no toggle for this. The only network request the app ever makes is that update check, which compares version numbers so it can tell you when a new version is available. The request carries no personal information and none of your note content. If you are offline, the check simply does not happen. Apart from that, DoIT makes no network connections.
Open source and verifiable
DoIT is open source under the MIT license. You can read the code and verify every claim in this document at github.com/Yasliu/DoIT.
